Casualty Collection Device (C.C.D.)

1.5mm thick laser cut Tegris® thermoplastic with 1/4"bungee cord and 1" high strength ultralight tubular nylon strap. The C.C.D. was inspired by the commonly used "DARC" strap which is a load bearing device designed to aid in the rapid extraction of an injured individual. The C.C.D. features a novel mounting solution that significantly enhances comfort and ease of use. The main function is to prevent the wearer from being dragged by their armpits which occurs when using a traditional plate carrier mounted drag handle. This is eliminated by the anchor point of the strap being the users belt. An additional feature is the adjustable handle. When set at the appropriate length, it acts as a cradle for the wearers head as well as providing the optimal length to allow the person pulling to stand fully upright and utilize proper body mechanics.
